Privacy, precisely
What stays on your phone, and what does not.
Stored on your phone
Every memory lives in an encrypted database inside the app on your phone. It is never uploaded to SolonAI. There is no account holding a copy.
Sent for an answer
When you ask a question, the app sends that question and the few memories it matched to the AI model, over an encrypted connection, so it can compose the reply. Nothing else leaves the phone.
Zero retention, in plain words
The AI provider processes that request under a zero-data-retention agreement: it is not stored after the answer is written, and it is not used to train models. Your memory database stays where it is.
Security details
The on-phone database is SQLCipher, AES-256 encrypted, keyed on the device. Requests to the AI model travel over TLS. Every memory is sealed with a SHA-256 hash and a timestamp when it is saved, which is how a recall can show exactly when something was said.

Common questions
What does it cost?
GrantAi Personal is a subscription, billed through the App Store or Google Play. Plans and prices are on the pricing page. See pricing →
What happens if I lose or replace my phone?
Your memories are part of your phone's normal backup: iCloud backup on iPhone, Google backup on Android. Set up a new phone from that backup and they come with it. GrantAi keeps no copy of your memories, so a phone that was never backed up cannot be recovered by us.
Can I export my memories?
Not yet as a file. You can search and read every memory in the app and share any answer out. Memories are never locked inside a cloud account, because there is no cloud account.
Do my memories work offline?
Searching and reading your memories works offline; they are on the phone. Asking GrantAi to write an answer needs a connection, because the answer is composed by the AI model.
Does anyone train on my conversations?
No. Your memories never reach our servers. The question and the few memories it matches are sent to the AI model to compose the answer, under a zero-data-retention agreement: the request is not stored and not used for training.
Does it work on Mac and Windows?
GrantAi Personal is on iPhone and Android today. Mac and Windows are coming. Each device keeps its own memories; there is no sync between devices yet.
